Who are we?

CALS is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to promote the work of fine craft artists throughout Northern California. Over the past 50 years we have brought many exhibitions such as the "Art of Gold" exhibition to the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento. CALS has two endowment funds at the Crocker - a general endowment and an educational endowment named the Warren Fund. We have held a variety of events over the years to help fund these endowments. We now focus our endowment fund raising efforts on two events, the Crocker Holiday Art & Craft Festival and CALS Tours (day tours to exceptional art exhibitions in Northern California). History

CALS was founded in 1952 to bring to the Sacramento area outstanding artworks by contemporary craft artists. Since its inception CALS has sponsored and organized 16 contemporary craft exhibitions at the Crocker Art Museum, as well as numerous other expositions and sales.
