Creative Arts League of Sacramento

The main function of the Creative Arts League of Sacramento is to sponsor California Crafts exhibitions at the Crocker Art Museum. Since 1959 we have staged unique exhibitions every two years. These have included open competitions, major retrospectives, and special exhibitions such as "Toys","Craftsmen Under 30", "Pacific Dimensions", which included artists from the three western states and Alaska and Hawaii, and "Living Treasures of California".

To finance these exhibitions one of our fund-raising activities is "The Magnificent Seven". We asked seven nationally know artists to create a special limited edition of 50 prints. We sell these exclusive prints at special fund raising events and to discerning collectors who may contact our organization through our website.

The original seven artists are:

Robert Brady - Serigraph
Roy De Forest - Lithograph
Kathe Keller - Lithograph
Gregory Kondos -Lithograph
Jack Ogden - Lithograph
Irving Marcus - Lithograph
Roland Peterson - Color Itaglio (sold out)

We have since added:

Larry Weldon - Color Lithograph
Viola Frey - 25 original plates (sold out)
James Estey - Exclusive poster

All proceeds from the sale of the editions are used for exhibition expenses.
We plan to expand our collection every few years.
